Beekeeper Product Release Notes September 2017

As promised, here are the latest features and improvements we’ve developed since last month’s product release notes. Here’s what you can start using now or very soon!

  • e-archiving of chats (API) – Soon we will offer the option to retain all or a selection of chat conversations among Beekeeper users directly in your own archiving system. This feature is supported by a rigorous authentication and authorization process, and is in accordance with the safekeeping of users’ personal data. Note: This feature is currently in the Beta phase and will soon be available through our Marketplace.
  • Support dropdown fields in SAML mapping (API) – We have expanded our SAML SSO API to support mapping user information to dropdown profile fields in the Beekeeper system. Dropdown profile fields are a type of field available in user profiles that offer a set of predefined strings as values. Mapping your SSO to these type of fields requires values identical to the ones in the field or else the mapping will fail. Dropdown profile fields can be configured in the Dashboard > Settings > Profile Fields.

iOS App

    • iOS 11 compatibility (iOS) – Most of our iOS engineering efforts this month were dedicated to preparing for the new iOS 11 operating system and ensure a smooth transition for all users.
    • Bug fixes and other improvements.

Android App

    • Chats can be marked as read or unread from the inbox.
    • Emojis can be used in profile fields and chat titles.
    • Users can start conversations with bot accounts.
    • Bug fixes and other improvements.

We hope these improvements will make your experience with the Beekeeper platform even easier. Look out for more product release notes next month!
