FRHI Hotels & Resorts Wins 2015 Employee Engagement Ragan Award

We are thrilled to announce FRHI Hotels & Resorts (FRHI) has won the 2015 Ragan’s Employee Communications Award for Best Employee Engagement. For the past two years, FRHI has connected over 40,000 employees from 125 hotels in 35 countries using Beekeeper’s mobile communication solution.

The Ragan Employee Communications Awards are held annually and demonstrate extraordinary imagination and intelligence in employee communications, intranet, publications and video. One of Ragan’s most popular programs, this award celebrates how FRHI has excelled with digital employee engagement in efficient, interactive, and innovative ways. FRHI succeeded in winning the Best Employee Engagement category beating out other notable contenders including PayPal, Nielsen and Duke Energy.

Cloud-based Mobile Communication Increases Employee Engagement

Winning the award was a result of the great success FRHI has experienced using Beekeeper as their primary mobile communication and employee engagement tool. According to a 2015 FRHI internal employee survey conducted after implementing Beekeeper for hotel management:

  • 65% of FRHI hotel staff surveyed answered, “thanks to Beekeeper, I feel more a part of FRHI than I did before.”
  • 78% of users said that reading the content on Beekeeper makes them feel proud to work for FRHI.
  • 61% claimed that thanks to Beekeeper mobile communication, they are inspired to perform better at their job.

Team App Streamlines Hotel Management

Beekeeper’s team app is the central hub for FRHI employees to interact with each other on a daily basis, while, “feeling like part of the same parent company and international group,” says Alexandra Zeifman, Internal Communications Projects Manager, FRHI. Michelle Crosby, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, FRHI, echoes this statement, saying that Beekeeper “has taken off, and it’s exciting to get a glimpse of our organization from around the world every single day.”

Focused on growing its distinctive hotel brands, FRHI is also developing new hotels in key locations around the world including exciting projects in China, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United States. The company also manages Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel branded luxury private residence clubs, whole-ownership residences and serviced residences properties.
