WOMEN OF BEEKEEPER: MEET CORINNE
My name is Corinne and I grew up in a small village in Switzerland where the number of pigs exceeds the number of inhabitants (and this is an actual fact, not just a saying). I am super passionate about dancing (currently dancing urban hip hop, house and ragga), people from different cultures, red wine, fashion and the power of communication. I work as a Communications Manager and am responsible for PR and content production in the DACH market.
Corinne, Communications Manager
Who is your role model, who inspires you?
My grandmother because, no matter how big the challenge, she was and still is able to face it with a smile and astonishing strength.
How do you measure your success?
In my opinion, success happens when I am happy with and can fully support the outcome of my work.
What personal achievements are you
most proud of?
I am proud that I have always remained true to myself.
What is your advice to young women
Embrace the challenge, recognise your value and never hesitate to ask questions.
I don't want to associate any challenge I am facing with the fact that I am a woman. When working at a startup you are constantly confronted with change and need to find a way how to keep up in this fast-pacing environment.
What is the biggest challenge
you’ve ever faced as a woman in tech?
Even though I haven't studied communications I decided to make it the focus of my career. It was a stony path (with choleric bosses shouting at me, hours of coffee brewing and overtime) but now I am here and the journey hasn't ended yet.
What is your proudest moment in your professional career?
